TNVAC LAUNCHES TNVAC.ORG

The Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps (TNVAC) announces their website, TNVAC.org, which is available to the public and full of information.

As an option to calling the business telephone number, (718) 430-9501, you can now just log on!

On Saturday, February 3, TNVAC hosted a blood drive in conjunction with the New York Blood Center. Shane Tierney and Scott Gregory of Boy Scout Troop 182 were also on hand to help out. TNVAC was able to collect 35 pints of blood and was glad to have so many of the residents come out and hope that even more will come out for their next blood drive.

The Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps. is a couple of weeks into its fundraiser and would like to thank those people who have already donated.

TNVAC is constantly looking for new members to come and join the wonderful world of emergency medicine. They are looking for men and women over the age of 18 to learn CPR, First Aid, to become dispatchers, drivers and attendants. Those who choose to go on to become emergency medical technicians need to take a state course, and TNVAC will assist members in that goal.

TNVAC also is willing to come to your organizations and speak on the importance of learning CPR /First Aid.

Everyone sees the signs in the stores which state that CPR masks are available behind the counter, but who in the store or restaurant knows how to use them? We can help.
