Daniel Luey, 48, of 80-18 189th St. in Holliswood, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. Luey's passengers were both listed in critical condition at New York Hospital Center of Queens. The driver of the Lincoln, an 88-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for observation, police said.
Both cars ended up on the lawn of the house at the southwest corner of the intersection, with Luey's Toyota against the chimney and the other car against a streetlight.
Authorities were still investigating the cause of the accident.
