POLICE SEARCH FOR UMAR DAVIS MURDER SUSPECT

Police have released surveillance photos of the man they believe is responsible for the shooting homicide of Bronx resident Umar Davis.

The 48th Precinct responded to the scene of the shooting on Sunday, March 2, at 1:41 a.m. in front of E. 177th Street.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the 38-year-old victim with a gun shot wound to the torso. Davis, who resided at 321 E. 153rd Street, was taken by EMS to Lincoln Hospital where he was listed in critical condition before passing away, as a result of the gunshot. The case was reclassified as a homicide.
