RALLY HELD FOR POSTAL WORKERS

By Adam Bermudez

Postal union representatives and activists are hoping a rally held on Wednesday, February 27, in front of the Fordham Road station will deliver a message to the United States Postal Service about the decaying state of service in the Bronx.

And for every issue addressed, the USPS has signed, sealed and delivered a response to calm the neighborhood concerns.

Attending the rally, held at 465 E. 188th Street, behind Fordham Plaza, were Frankie Sanchez, director of industrial relations at the New York area branch of the APWU AFL-CIO Postal Workers Union; Community Board 11 member Irene Estrada; and Dee McCoy, an assistant director at APWU, among other postal workers
