How’s Business? Wired world assistance

By Joe Palumbo III

Could you afford to lose all your data tomorrow? What would you do if your home or office computer crashed? These are now commonplace questions in the world we live in. This week I met with Josh Janov of Stream Networking. I asked Josh, a graduate of Nassau Community College, how he got started.”I am a self-taught professional. I couldn't afford to fix my own computer, so I studied and learned how to do it myself. I have been building computer networks since 1991,” he said.Josh said he decided to leave corporate America and go off on his own. “I put a lot of energy and creativity into the work I do for my clients,” he said. “I service all of the boroughs and Nassau County, but presently in Queens I am doing a lot of work in the Long Island City, Corona and Elmhurst areas.”Asked what sets him apart from other professionals in his industry, he said: “I like to think of myself as the MacGyver of computer work. I always look to find a solution for my clients and at a lower cost than what they originally anticipated.”But he cautioned that people sometimes are too frugal in purchasing hardware, which can make general servicing more costly. So How's Business regarding Josh Janov of Stream Networking?
