2 hurt in Woodside kitchen fire

WOODSIDE Two tenants suffered minor injuries in a kitchen fire April 23, FDNY officials said. The blaze was reported at 8:36 a.m. in a second-floor kitchen in a six-story brick apartment building on 49th Street near 48th Avenue. The blaze was under control by 8:59 a.m. The tenants were transported to Elmhurst Hospital Center, one with serious injuries and one with minor injuries. No firefighters were hurt, officials said.
