Man steals Mets jacket at Shea

FLUSHING A Bronx man was arrested April 12 at Shea Stadium after allegedly stealing a Mets jacket from a Newsday booth, authorities said. Nelson Ondre, 43, walked up to the booth and picked up one of the jackets, which were being given away with a new subscription to Newsday, and walked away with it, a criminal complaint filed by the Queens district attorney's office said.

Ondre was caught by the booth vendor. He was charged with petit larceny.
