Police seeking suspect in identity theft case

LITTLE NECK Police said they were investigating a case of grand larceny after someone obtained an Overbrook Street resident's bank account number and stole thousands of dollars.

Authorities said sometime between 9 a.m. and 12 a.m. last Thursday, an unknown person used the victim's bank account number to withdraw $19,000 using checks and forging a signature. Police said there were no suspects as of Tuesday evening and the investigation was ongoing.
