Led by a relentless offensive attack headed by left forward Danielle Magnozzi, who had three goals on seven shots, Sacred Heart defeated St. Andrews, 3-1, extending their unbeaten streak to five games in the Girls CYO Pee Wee Division.
Forwards Hayley Schade (1 assist and 3 shots) and Donna Episcopio (1 shot on goal) as well as midfielders Marisa Micallef, Erica Shiverick, Colleen Conlan, Sarah Jean Huberts, Taylor Bayer and Alexandra Santoro mounted a relentless attack to control the entire game and outshot St. Andrews, 11-1.
Defenders Julia McNeill, Jillian Foley, Gina Watkins and goalkeeper Juliet Lima played solid defensively and stayed aggressive in their third to assist the offense on many breakouts during the game.
With Sacred Heart leading, 2-0, Danielle Magnozzi made a spectacular defensive play by dropping back and deflecting away a sure St. Andrews goal to keep Sacred Heart in control of the game.
