Springfield Gardens man robbed N.J. bank: Cops

KENILWORTH, N.J.A Springfield Gardens man was extradited to New Jersey to face criminal charges in a bank robbery, the Kenilworth police department said.

John Henderson, 43, was arrested on April 30 in Brooklyn and charged with armed robbery, weapons charges and making terroristic threats, Detective Sgt. Tim Dowd said. Henderson allegedly stole nearly $3,000 in cash from a Wachovia Bank in Kenilworth on April 8, according to police.

He was extradited to a Union County, N.J., jail and was held on $250,000, Dowd said. Henderson will be tried in federal court.
