Woman arrested for intoxication: Police

BELLE HARBOR Police arrested a 40-year-old woman earlier this month after she was allegedly found intoxicated on the side of the road in her car, DA Richard Brown said.

Terry Holder was found parked at Beach 146th Street and Beach Channel Drive in Belle Harbor around 11 a.m. May 5, the DA said. The defendant was sitting in her 2002 Acura MDX, which had four flat tires, he said.

Police smelled alcohol when they stopped to assist Holder and allegedly found an open 1-liter bottle of vodka, the DA said. The defendant allegedly admitted that she had been drinking, the DA said.

Holder was charged with drunken driving and will return to court June 9, the DA said. If convicted, she could face up to 90 days in jail, he said.
