Man, teen arrested in two assaults: Cops

LONG ISLAND CITY — Police arrested a 26-year-old man and a teenager on assault charges in two separate incidents in Long Island City June 9.

During the first incident, the 26-year-old man punched another man in the face near the corner of 36th Avenue and 21st Street in Long Island City and was charged with aggravated harassment and assault, police said.

In the second incident, police said they arrested a 14-year-old boy after he repeatedly punched a man in the head and arms near 35th Avenue and 21st Street. The teen was charged with assault, police said.
