Bayside Little League: Lau wins game ball for defense in Turano win

Ryan Lau was the hero for Turano Contracting, earning a game ball for a great sliding catch on a short fly ball to center in the first inning against Pee Wee Folks Pre-School in a Bayside Little League game Sunday morning.

Major Division

Officefurniture.net 1, Pilling Real Estate 0. Anthony Tersigni tossed six shutout innings and the Officefurniture.net defense did its part in a stunning 1-0 victory against Pilling Real Estate. The winning run was scored by Sean Cunningham to lift OFN to a 12-3 record and first place in the Major Division. Dylan Chateau was terrific on the mound for Pilling.

Pilling Real Estate 17, H and D Maintenance 8. Liam Higgins pitched three shutout innings and had six strikeouts leading Pilling to victory. Hector Gonzalez and Dylan Chateau lead the offensive charge with home runs. Other key hits were provided by Max Lomuscio, Anthony Albasini, Danny Mirbach, and Liam Higgins. Nick Powell, Alex Centrone, Frank Fata, Mike Sullivan, and Pat Brown were solid on defense.
