Bayside Little League: Turano’s blast leads Contracting

In the final game of the Texas Farm Division season, Turano Contracting was led by the clutch hitting of Michael Turano, who hit a tape-measure blast to right in the third inning to pull his team back into the game. Max Mastrototaro had a pair of doubles and four RBIs and in the third inning, Regan Goger made a nice play on a tough hope, throwing to third baseman Nicholas Sanso to get the force out at third.

The play of the game, though, was made by Miles Cox, who backhanded a hard hit ball and then scrambled back to second to make a diving force out. Christian Spallino and Theodore Pigis also made nice defensive plays for Turano.

Turano Contracting vs. Pee Wee Folks Preschool. Defense was the story in this game. Bryan Reinah had a pair of doubles and Tino D’Orta made two fine catches on pop ups – one at the pitcher’s mound and one in centerfield. He also got the force out at second to end the game.
