OAKLAND GARDENS — A 43-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly snatched his ex-girlfriend's purse when she came out of her apartment building Saturday in Oakland Gardens, police said.
John DePalma is accused of waiting in the common area of his ex-girlfriend's apartment building on Kingsbury Avenue in Oakland Gardens and snatching the woman's purse when she arrived, police said. The defendant allegedly wanted to trade the purse for property in which she was still in possession following their breakup, police said.
