Car crash stops traffic in LIC

LONG ISLAND CITY — A collision between two vehicles shut down traffic at the intersection of 23rd Street and Broadway Saturday evening. A red Chevrolet sedan ran a red light going east on Broadway at the same time a silver Hyundai was heading north on 23rd Street.

No one was hurt during the accident, but police halted traffic heading in both directions until they cleared up the scene.
