EAST ELMHURST — Police said a man was arrested on assault and weapons charges last week after allegedly striking another man's face repeatedly.
Police said the 48-year-old man was arrested June 25 after he allegedly struck the victim in the face, causing bruising and swelling. Police said after his arrest, they discovered the man was allegedly in possession of several firearms without the proper permits.
The man has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
