Man, 24, obstructed ticket in Astoria: Cops

ASTORIA — Police said a 24-year-old was arrested after allegedly grabbing the hand of a traffic agent to prevent him from writing a ticket.

According to authorities, the man was arrested June 25 outside of 25-21 Steinway St. after returning to his car to find a traffic agent in the process of issuing a ticket. Police said the man allegedly grabbed the agent's hand in an effort to prevent him from finishing the ticket.

Authorities said he was subsequently arrested and charged with harassment and obstruction.
