CORONA — A Jamaica man was arrested after bashing a woman in the head with a glass bottle during a pleasure cruise near the World's Fair Marina, the Queens district attorney's office said.
Omar Wallace, 30, was aboard a boat called the Half Moon July 6, when he walked up to a 34-year-old female passenger and hit her in the head with a glass bottle, according to a criminal complaint filed by the DA's office.
Afterward, Wallace, dressed in a different shirt, approached the woman and said, “If you call the police, I will shoot you in the f—— head,” the complaint said.
When officers arrested Wallace, he pushed and flailed his arms to avoid being handcuffed, the complaint said. He was charged with misdemeanor assault, resisting arrest and harassment, the complaint said.
He was arraigned July 6, the DA's office said. His next court date is Sept. 8, the DA said.
