Man, 22, clings to life after Jax Heights attack

JACKSON HEIGHTS — A 22-year-old man was attacked by at least six male assailants in Jackson Heights during the early morning hours of July 4, police said. Around 4 a.m. Friday, police responded to calls of an assault happening near the intersection of 34 Road and Junction Boulevard. When officers arrived on the scene, the assailants alledgedly fled and no arrests were made, according to police. The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and listed in critical condition. The investigation was ongoing.
