2-year-old boy struck while crossing Jamaica intersection

JAMAICA — A 2-year-old boy was struck while crossing a street in Jamaica July 3, police said.

The toddler was crossing the street near the intersection of 126th and 145th streets around 3:40 p.m. when he was hit by a woman, 35, driving a 1998 Ford, according to police.

He was taken to Jamaica Hospital and listed in critical but stable condition, police said. The investigation was ongoing, but no criminality is suspected.
