LONG ISLAND CITY — A 40-year-old Long Island man was arrested last month after he allegedly stole cans of Red Bull energy drink from a supermarket in Long Island City, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
Andre Christmas, of Uniondale, L.I., was arraigned Sept. 8 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Robert Raciti on petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property charges and held on $3,000 bail, the DA said.
Christmas was busted after a security guard at a Pathmark supermarket on Northern Boulevard saw him place 41 packs of the energy drink in a shopping cart and leave the store without paying for them, the DA said.
The defendant then tried to flee the scene, Brown said.
