Woman, 81, dies crossing Queens Boulevard

FOREST HILLS — A Forest Hills woman was killed Friday afternoon when she was struck while crossing Queens Boulevard, police said.

At 7:50 p.m., in front of 109-15 Queens Blvd., 81-year-old Shellie Parris was crossing the boulevard when she was struck by a 1997 Toyota Camry driven by an 83-year-old woman, police said.

Parris was transported to Jamaica Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 8:28 p.m., police said. The elderly driver remained at the scene and police do not suspect any criminality.
