Police search for clues in Pomonok shooting

POMONOK — Police said they were searching for suspects who killed a 25-year-old man last week outside the central Queens housing project.

The unidentified victim was shot once in the face and torso outside 66-44 157th St. shortly after 10:30 p.m. Sept. 3, police said. The victim was rushed to New York Hospital of Queens, where he died from his injuries, according to police.

Investigators have made no arrests in connection to the killing. The investigation was ongoing.

This was the third reported murder in the 107th Precinct this year, according to crime statistics. Overall crime in the precinct, which covers Fresh Meadows, Cunningham Heights, Hilltop Village, Electchester and Pomonok, has been down 12.76 percent from last year, with 1,019 reported incidents.
