Cops search for suspects in Corona bar shooting

Police say Cruz Garcia, 22, and a friend were in the Tulcinga Cafe at 95-02 Roosevelt Ave. on Dec. 17 when they got into an argument with another patron around 2 a.m. The bar staff asked Garcia and his friend to leave, but the two returned later and Garcia opened fire in the bar, wounding a man in the arm and killing 24-year-old Corona resident Adrena Valderradama.Garcia's nickname is “Crazy Homie,” police said.The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 20 and 25 years old, about 5-foot-5 with a thin build and black hair.Police in the 110th were also looking for the suspected gang members who wounded three people in a drive-by shooting Jan. 5. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at Ketcham and Baxter streets in Elmhurst. An unknown number of suspects affiliated with the Latin Kings drove up in a dark-colored early-model Honda Civic and opened fire on a suspected member of the ABK gang, police said.”They really wanted to get this guy,” said Deputy Inspector Thomas Pilkington, commander of the 110th, which covers Elmhurst and Corona.The shooters managed to hit two suspected gang members and a 56-year-old woman who was wounded in the hand, police said.
