Boro residents spray painted property: Cops

BAYSIDE — Two suspected graffiti vandals were arrested within an hour of each other early Saturday by 111th Precinct officers, police said.

Thomas Biordi, 20, of 190-16 33rd Ave. in Auburndale, was allegedly observed by a 111th Precinct officer spray painting the tag “JIS” at the northwest corner of Station Road and Francis Lewis Boulevard in Flushing at around 1:58 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Biordi was charged with criminal mischief, making graffiti, resisting arrest, possession of graffiti instruments and disorderly conduct, police said.

Nearly an hour later, at 2:48 a.m. Saturday, a witness told a 111th officer about a vandal spray painting an unknown tag on the side of a Nissan commercial truck in the back of 195-42 39th Ave. in Bayside, police said.

The suspect, 17-year-old Kevin Conklin of 149-43 20th Ave. in Whitestone, was charged with criminal mischief, making graffiti and possession of graffiti instruments, police said.

Police said the crimes were not connected to each other.
