Police seek suspect in July 7-Eleven robbery

OAKLAND GARDENS — Authorities were asking for the public's help in identifying this suspect, wanted for robbing an Oakland Gardens 7-Eleven.

The convenience store was robbed around 9:30 p.m. July 1, when the suspect brandished a black handgun, approached the cashier and demanded money, police said. The cashier complied and the suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash, police said.

Authorities described the suspect as a fair-skinned, white Hispanic man in his mid-20s, 6 feet tall with close-cropped hair. He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a black sweatshirt.
