Man arrested for punching another: DA

ROCKAWAY BEACH — A 46-year-old Rockaway Beach man was arrested earlier this month after he allegedly punched another man repeatedly in the face, the Queens district attorney said.

Michael Darmody, of 304 Beach 89th St. in Rockaway Beach, was arraigned Oct. 13 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Ira Margolis on charges of assault and harassment, Queens DA Richard Brown said. His bail was set at $1,500, the DA said.

Darmody allegedly punched a 46-year-old man in the face repeatedly near the corner of Beach 113th Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard Oct. 12, the DA said. The victim suffered a laceration to his upper lip and facial swelling, Brown said.

The victim was treated for his injuries at a local hospital, the DA said.
