Teen threw bottle out window, struck another: DA

BROAD CHANNEL — A 19-year-old Broad Channel woman was arrested earlier this month after she allegedly threw a bottle from a window and struck a 30-year-old woman in the head, the Queens district attorney said.

Joyce Hall, of 81-01 Rockaway Beach Blvd. in Broad Channel, allegedly admitted that she threw the bottle out the window, which struck the victim in the head, Queens DA Richard Brown said.

The defendant was arraigned before Queens Criminal Court Judge Ira Margolis on charges of assault and reckless endangerment, the DA said. Hall, released on her own recognizance, will return to court Nov. 18, the DA said.

The victim suffered a laceration and pain during the incident, the DA said. She required 11 stitches after being hit by the bottle, he said.
