FRESH MEADOWS — Two Rego Park men were arrested after police said they had tried to steal a car parked at 197th Street and 67th Avenue just off Francis Lewis Boulevard a little after 10 p.m. Nov. 25.
Adolfo Rosario, 23, of 97−07 63rd Road, and Anthony Abreu, 20, of 97−40 62nd Drive, have been charged with attempted grand larceny, attempted criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, possession of burglar’s tools, criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
The men were arraigned Nov. 26 and were scheduled to return to court Jan. 13, Brown said.
