Cops search for Woodside bank robbery suspect

WOODSIDE — Police were asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved with an armed bank robbery during Thanksgiving weekend.

The suspected robber allegedly went to the Queens Savings Bank branch at 60−10 Queens Blvd. Nov. 29 around 9:30 a.m. and produced a firearm, according to police. Investigators said the robber forced his way to a teller at gunpoint, received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

No one was harmed at the bank, according to police.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was caught on surveillance cameras wearing a black stocking mask, a dark hooded sweater, black baseball cap, dark pants, black shoes and gloves and was carrying a black backpack.
