“Nobody knows there's a (boys') team here,” the Bayside resident said. “Everybody knows about girls' basketball.”That's because Mike Eisenberg's team has been a city power, gaining a berth in the PSAL championship game three years in a row from 2004 to 2006. But, after a rocky 2-14 season last year, Dortch has the Patriots (8-8 Queens A East) in the playoffs for the first time in six years.”We're not Lincoln, we're not Boys & Girls yet,” Dortch said. “But it's a nice accomplishment for our school.”Lewis is led by senior forward James Anacreon, who averaged 22.7 points per game this season, good for best in the division. He also averaged 7.3 rebounds per contest. The 6-foot-5 Anacreon was ineligible for most of his first three seasons at the Fresh Meadows school and will probably have to go to junior college. But Dortch thinks he's “a low Division I player.””I haven't seen anyone in the 'A' that has as much talent,” the coach said. But before Anacreon can worry about the next level, Lewis plans to make some waves in the postseason.”They definitely want to continue on,” Dortch said. “They want to win.
