Ochoa propels Hillcrest into ‘A’ second round

Hillcrest has been getting production from different places all season. It happened again Wednesday afternoon.

Jelani Ochoa, a 6-foot-4 junior forward averaging only 6.4 points per game, had 14 points to lead the 10th-seeded Hawks to a 57-49 win over No. 23 Susan Wagner in a PSAL Class A boys' basketball first-round playoff game in Jamaica.

Hillcrest will meet the winner of No. 7 Telecommunications and No. 26 Martin Luther King on Wednesday in the second round. The high seed will host.
