Act responsibly while on a trip

It does not make sense that parents would allow their teenage children to go on a trip to a foreign country, especially with the problems Mexico is experiencing.

St. Francis Preparatory High School did not support its students going there for spring break. Parents should be more responsible in allowing their children to go on trips anywhere. As a former graduate of St. Francis Prep, I went on our senior ski trip to upstate Lake Placid with 399 of my classmates. We had 20 teachers who chaperoned that trip and we did not have any problems.

Nobody even thought about traveling to foreign countries back then. Trips like those cost a lot of money. It seems parents of high school students give their children everything they want. When is responsibility going to be given to these children? Nobody gives you a handout: You have to earn money to buy things.
