RICHMOND HILL — A bicyclist was killed last week when he collided with a commercial truck at a busy intersection, police said.

The cyclist, identified only as a 40−year−old man, was pedaling westbound on Jamaica Avenue at 2:34 p.m. May 6 when he collided with a 2005 Peterbilt turning right from Jamaica Avenue onto Myrtle Avenue.

The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The truck driver remained at the scene and police do not suspect any criminality in the incident.
