Man crossing street died after car hit him

Officers responded to a call of an unresponsive man found at the intersection of 165th Street and 46th Avenue around 8 a.m., police said. An investigation determined the man attempted to cross between two parked vehicles and was struck by a 2008 Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on 46th Avenue, police said.

The victim was rushed to New York Hospital in Queens where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to police.

No criminality was suspected and no summonses were issued to the 19−year−old Altima driver, police said.
