Police launch search for Forest Hills rapist

FOREST HILLS — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a fugitive who they say raped a woman near Queens Boulevard and 69th Road last week.

The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. May 20, when the suspect followed the victim, described as a 20−year−old Hispanic woman, confronted her, took her into a nearby apartment and raped her, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 40 and 50 years old with a medium build and salt and pepper hair and was seen wearing black leather sandals, according to authorities.
