Obama’s hope for Mideast is dangerously misguided

I admire President Barack Obama’s idealism during his trip to the Middle East, but if we have learned anything over the past several decades, it is we cannot realistically expect an open dialogue with nations that cannot be trusted.

We learned it with former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, and most recently with former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Gaza. It is at the least a waste of time and at most extremely dangerous. America cannot afford to let its guard down and once again be made the fool.

I do not know about you, but I do not think I can handle another three−year cleanup and seeing the remains of the fallen again being buried in a garbage dump.
