Community boards show partiality by attending political fund-raisers

Shown in the Focus on Queens page in the July 2 edition of the Flushing Times was the fund-raising dinner for a City Council candidate.

Photographs showed three top executives of Community Board 7 at the event standing in support of a certain candidate. There was also a fourth CB 7 member in another photo exhibiting his support.

We do not know if it is considered against any rules for community boards to endorse candidates or buy tickets to donation dinners. It seems improper to stand side by side for a public endorsement support picture, as if to let people see which side CB 7 wants us to vote for in November.
