Woman’s assault charges dropped, record sealed

OAKLAND GARDENS — Assault charges filed against a northern Queens woman last month were dropped and the record was sealed, the woman said this week.

Diane Del Pesce, a 73rd Avenue resident, said she was attempting to protect her mother when she was arrested on assault charges July 21 and the charges were immediately dropped. The Queens district attorney’s office confirmed the record of her arrest had been sealed.

Authorities said Del Pesce was arrested at 11 a.m. July 21 during a dispute.
