LIRR passenger robbed, beaten at Bayside stop

BAYSIDE — Police were looking for two men who they said assaulted and robbed a Long Island Rail Road rider Sunday morning.

The commuter was leaving the LIRR Bayside station when the person was struck in the head by two men, police said. The victim suffered a deep laceration and had a wallet stolen, according to police.
