L.I. man throws bottles at moving car: Brown

BROAD CHANNEL — A 24-year-old Long Island man was arrested after he allegedly threw bottles at another driver’s vehicle in Broad Channel, the Queens district attorney said.

Christopher Bartels, of Long Beach, L.I., was arraigned Sept. 7 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Robert Raciti on charges of reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and harassment, Queens DA Richard Brown said. The defendant, who was held on $1,000 bail, will return to court Sept. 25, the DA said.

On July 2, the defendant allegedly cut off another driver on Cross Bay Boulevard in Broad Channel, pulling in front of him and continually making sudden stops, the DA said. Bartels then allegedly pulled alongside the other driver and threw two bottles at his car, causing damage to the driver’s side door, Brown said.
