Cops search for bank robber in Little Neck

LITTLE NECK — Police released information Tuesday about a suspect they were looking for in connection with an attempted robbery more than a week ago.

The incident took place at the Chase branch at 252-34 Northern Blvd. Sept. 19 around 3 p.m., according to police.

The suspect, described as a white male, roughly 40 years old, 6-foot-4 and approximately 170 pounds, entered the bank and handed an employee a note demanding cash, the police said. The man fled the bank without any money, according to police.

He was caught on surveillance cameras wearing a dark baseball cap and dark glasses with a dark hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants, police said.
