Man went on rampage with knife, bar, car: DA

On Sept. 29 at the corner of 90th Street and Jamaica Avenue, Sigfredo Davila, 45, grabbed a 16-year-old boy in a headlock, threw him to the ground and kicked him, according to a complaint filed by the DA’s office. When the teen got up to walk way, Davila allegedly got into a car and drove toward him, jumped out of the vehicle while it was still in gear, slashed him on the wrist and then ran after the car and drove off, the DA’s office said.

Davila then allegedly slammed into another car at 98th Street and Park Lane South, jumped out with a metal bar and bashed the other driver in the head before getting back in his car and driving off, the DA’s office said. Davila was charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, weapon possession, driving while under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. He was arraigned Sept. 30 and held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
