Police arrest Ridgewood man, 27, after robbery

RIDGEWOOD — A 27-year-old Ridgewood man was arrested after he allegedly threatened another man and robbed him, the Queens district attorney said.

Kornel Ziolkowski, of 69-50 79th St. in Ridgewood, was arraigned Oct. 10 before Queens Criminal Court Judge Deborah Stevens-Modica on a robbery charge and held on $35,000 bail, Queens DA Richard Brown said.

Ziolkowski allegedly approached a teenager near 60th Place and Woodbine Street in Ridgewood Sept. 30 and threatened to attack him if he did not hand over his cell phone, the DA said. The victim is alleged to have given him the phone, Brown said.

The defendant has also been charged with petit larceny in a Sept. 29 incident, during which he allegedly removed security cameras from a 69th Avenue home, the DA said.

Ziolkowski was allegedly caught on camera stealing the cameras, Brown said.
