Texas man possessed stun gun in LaGuardia

EAST ELMHURST — Glenn A. Thompson, 48, of El Paso, Texas, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly approached Port Authority Officer Lyndon Charles inside departures terminal No. 8 inside LaGuardia Airport Nov. 1 and informed him that he had a stun gun on his person, according to police.

He allegedly asked if he could give the stun gun to an officer, who told Thompson it was illegal for him to be in possession of such a stun gun, after which Thompson allegedly threw it into a garbage can.

Police recovered the stun gun from the can and Thompson admitted it was his, police said.
