Two men fail to steal purse from woman’s car

BAYSIDE — A woman was approached Friday by two males in the parking lot of the Dunkin’ Donuts at 35-47 Francis Lewis Blvd., who offered to repair some existing damage to her vehicle, police said.

She refused and they proceeded to tell her she owed them $100 and attempted to steal her purse from her car, according to investigators. The men fled without any property in a tan vehicle, police said.
