Police search for robber of market in Astoria

ASTORIA — Police were looking for a fugitive they said robbed a food market store on 28th Avenue last week.

The suspect entered the eatery Nov. 30 around 2:30 a.m. armed with a handgun and demanded money, according to investigators.

A store worker complied and the suspect, described as a black man, escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
