Assistance with Immigration Matters — There will be free legal assistance by an attorney to prepare and file papers and to accompany immigrants at court appearances and administrative hearings. Other services include counseling and assistance with citizenship/naturalization, green cards/visa petitions, asylum assistance, employment authorization, legal assistance and immigrant juvenile status. The focus of the program is to enable immigrants to apply for permanent residency. Presented by the Federation of African, Caribbean and American Organization.

Prenatal Adult Literacy Support Program — Jamaica Hospital is currently seeking volunteers for their new innovative Heath Literacy and Education Program. Each volunteer will be given 20 hours of training to prepare them to work with pregnant patients of the JHMC Women’s Health Center.
