Burglars hit homes in 111th Precinct

BAYSIDE — Police in the 111th Precinct were investigating a number of home break−ins that occurred over the past week. The burglar or burglars forced side doors or rear windows and grabbed electronics and jewelry, police said.

The first incident occurred last Thursday at a home on 42nd Road, police said. The resident came home to find his front door open and his rooms ransacked. The burglars took $100 cash, police said.

Then, on Saturday, burglars entered an apartment on 228th Street through an unlocked window, grabbing a wedding ring, an Omega watch and a pearl necklace, police said.

On Sunday, at least two homes were entered, with burglars taking jewelry and a video game console from a home on 231st Street and a Rolex watch, laptop computer and cash from a home on 232nd Street, police said.
